From time to time we get the question from members wondering if there are rules that they need to be aware of, to ensure they can remain active members of this large national network.

So let’s start by telling you what has happened every single time we’ve had to part ways with a member.  It usually starts with a member looking a little like Woody below…

…There is nothing wrong with a bit of self publicity, but if a member is strutting their stuff like woody above then this is a good indicator they are about to trip up – potentially taking other members down with them.

Although we’ve presented this in a light hearted manner, in the past it has become extremely serious.  Any resulting fallout not only reflects poorly on the individual entity, but also the ACRI network as a whole and every single ACRI member.  Due to the potential impact, our goal is to protect the entire network and in some cases preemptively.  Remember, what you do as a local ACRI member represents the entire network – as a member, you are an ACRI Network Ambassador and ACRI is a national network that doesn’t want to be on channel 9 News for the wrong reasons!

The short answer: Yes, and it’s likely to happen if you are doing something intentially deceptive or jeapardising other members.

Best Practice: Abide by the Code of Practice you agreed to when you applied for your membership, keep up to date insurance, make sure your values line up with the ACRI network to ensure you are fulfilling your obligations and most important of all – remain teachable!
